This week for maths we have been learning about statistics. I found this really easy to do. I think the easiest graph was the stem and leaf graph because it was really simple to use and really easy to learn this is what I created.  Hope you enjoy 

speech

This week  we started doing our speeches mine was on Tuesday. I did mine all about chocolate like including what types of chocolates there is or when was it made but yeah so this was my speech for 2019.

Chocolate 

Chocolate is a usually sweet, brown food preparation of roasted and ground cacao seeds that is made in the form of a liquid, paste, or in a block, or used as a flavouring ingredient in other foods.The creation of the first modern chocolate bar is credited to Joseph Fry, who in 1847 discovered that he could make a moldable chocolate paste by adding melted cacao butter back into Dutch cocoa. By 1868, a little company called Cad bury was marketing boxes of chocolate candies in England. but yeah chocolate comes from a fruit tree; it's made from a seed.

It takes 400 cocoa beans to make one pound of chocolate Each cacao tree produces approximately 2,500 beans. Research to date 

supports that chocolate can be enjoyed as part of a balanced, heart-healthy diet and lifestyle and here's another fun fact The World's Largest Chocolate Bar Weighed 5,792 kg and experts say Eating dark chocolate every day reduces the risk of heart disease by one-third so yeah hope you enjoyed my fun facts about chocolate thank you.

Maths

This week for maths we have been learning about nets which means a template of a 3D shape. So far I have created a cube ,a square based pyramid and a cuboid. As you can see this is a template of a cube. If you wanted to create one you would need a ruler, pen or pencil and scissors. First create four squares down and one square across on each side. You will need to make sure the width and length are equal. Then you will need to put flaps on the sides of the bottom square and the two squares on the sides. Then you will need to cut the template out and fold the flaps. After that you will need a glue stick. You will then glue the flaps and stick them together. The final product   should look like this.

My myth

This week for writing we have been focusing on myths. Our teacher gave us a task to create our own myth. I decided to do mine around lightning.

Zeus and the lightning thief.

Zeus and his cousin Hades were at war. Hades was punished and never
allowed to return to heaven ever again.  When Hades was young he had stolen
the lightning bolt from Zeus and declared war. Even though Zeus did not
have his lightning bolt he had accepted the battle against Hades and his
demons. They battled. It was horrifying. Zeus had defeated Hades and
his demons, but Zeus had barely made it out alive. He had taken the
lightning bolt back into his own hands and sent Hades to where he belongs,
underground. Zeus is always fighting Hades and his powerful army of demons
from entering heaven again. Zeus and  his great and powerful lightning bolt
strikes lightning at Hades and his demons every now and then. You can still
see the lightning strike to the ground to this day.

Hanmer springs

This year for camp our class and next door class went to Hanmer Springs Forestry Camp. The teacher gave us a task to create a slide with covering day one, two and three,  of the camp. The slide included  all the activity's we did. I think that mountain biking was the best because you got to go up hill and down hill and it was really  exciting because there was a bike track half way threw the activity. I hope you enjoyed my slide.

Hanmer springs

This year for camp we went to Hanmer Springs camp, while we were driving to Hanmer we stopped at Reefton. When we got to Hanmer we got our room numbers and we unpacked and then we all got called to the field and we were given our first activity. While group one and two went bike riding the rest of us went orienteering.We were running around on the tracks and had to look for little bottles with a number and a letter on it we had to write it down on a paper. When we were finished we went to Hanmers pool at four and left at seven. The next day we went tree climbing the first tree we climbed was easy and thats when we learned where our positions should be when some ones climbing. I liked the second tree best because you got to use the branches on the tree to climb instead of just using blocks to climb. For the next activity we went mountain biking, while we were biking we stopped at this mountain bike course it had ramps and and tight corners you could turn. Then we went to the pools again, I personally think the hot pools were the best and the super bowl when we got back we had dinner then both class went to the big Kitchen and had a concert. Some people did magic tricks and some danced and there were also comedy acts. After the concert we had to go to bed. In the morning we did our last activity, we went on a sculpture walk, there were all sorts but my favourite one was the eagle because it was big then we went to the cemetery. The thing i liked most about it was there was one guy that died by a lightning strike.
