Shake out

This week at school we practiced a shake out drill. If you don't know what a shake out is??. Shakeout is held across the world to remind people what to do in case of a earthquake or tsunami so that what did our school practise .
We first got a call on the speaker to drop cover roll so we had to get into a turtle position under our tables. We waited for around two minutes then we got a tsunami warning so our school went out the gates and headed up our streets to the safe zone we then went up a drive way and waited. Then our teachers did the roll and once we got an all clear we headed back to our class and carried on with our work
Thank you for listening hope you enjoyed.  a coastal areaImage result for shake out drill

  1. Hi Elijah,
I'm Mika, a year 8 from Yaldhurst Model School.
Recently, our school did a shake out drill too. I think everyone in NZ did it on the same day so that's cool. Your text is clear and you've shown a picture for people who have no idea what a Shake out is.

Next time, proof read it and fix some puntuation. Also putting it in a DLO would be more eye catching. Have you ever experienced an earth quake?

It's Millah here from T4. This is a good piece of writing about the shake out. Maybe next time you could add more photos, but other than that it was a great post.
